For this design, I used direction, size and gravity to create contrast. Each of my shapes are turning or "toppling" in a different direction. They mostly face away from each other and I wanted them to be kind of haphazard because this gives the effect that they are falling. In this way I brought in gravity to my design. I wanted to give my shapes the appearance that they were being poured out of something and falling through the air. Lastly, the size creates contrast in the design through the alteration between big and small. This also helps to make the design more interesting.
Ivy,
ReplyDeleteI like how you used gravity in your contrast design! The different angles of the shapes really help to make it look like it's in the act of falling. I think it could benefit from less triangles at the bottom, like that would make it look like they had not yet reached the bottom, and are still falling.
And I love your puzzle piece / Eiffel tower / cheese shapes.
Ivy, grat design! I like the way that your unit forms are not exactly triangles, but you did some problem solving to create a unique shape of your own. Also, I like the colors you chose, which create color contrast and help your unit forms stand out even further.
